How the Bureau is structured

The Bureau comprises 5 groups, tasked to deliver our Strategy 2022–2027 and portfolio budget statements:

  • Business Solutions
  • Data and Digital
  • Enterprise Services
  • Science and Innovation.

The Bureau is also the lead agency for the Australian Climate Service.

Australian Climate Service

The Australian Climate Service is made up of world-leading expertise from:

  • the Bureau
  • CSIRO
  • Australian Bureau of Statistics
  • Geoscience Australia.

The partnership draws together the national data, systems and expertise needed to inform climate and natural disaster decision-making.

It helps customers better understand the threats posed by a changing climate and natural hazards, to limit the impacts now and in the future. These customers include the National Emergency Management Agency.
