The Bureau has one discrete, time-limited transformation program – ROBUST. This program is enhancing the security, stability and resilience of our critical information and observation technology systems.
The Bureau is also the lead agency for the Australian Climate Service.

Australian Climate Service
The Australian Climate Service is made up of world-leading expertise from:
- the Bureau
- CSIRO
- Australian Bureau of Statistics
- Geoscience Australia.
The partnership draws together the national data, systems and expertise needed to inform climate and natural disaster decision-making.
It helps customers better understand the threats posed by a changing climate and natural hazards, to limit the impacts now and in the future. These customers include the National Emergency Management Agency.
