Hello. It's Angus here at the Bureau of Meteorology with the National weather forecast for Wednesday, the 17th of September. And are a few different weather systems bringing rain to, let's call it, three different corners of the country. We've got showers up here around the North Tropics and Queensland. We've got some very wintry winds and showers down here across the south-east. And we also have a cold front moving into the south-west around the Perth region. Away from those three corners, that's going to be a fairly settled day tomorrow. So let's get a bit more detail with your local forecast as we go state by state.

Starting in Queensland, there will be some showers around the North Tropics here, mostly in that Cairns, Daintree area as we work our way down the coast from Townsville till about Bundaberg. Partly cloudy skies and the slight chance of 1 or 2 showers. Further south, it is looking bright and dry across the south-east, also really quite warm. Temperatures in Brisbane forecast to reach 30 degrees on Wednesday. If it does reach 30, that'll be the warmest day since April 29th at Surfers Paradise, 27 Toowoomba and 32 up at Roma.

Mostly fine, clear, sunny and dry through Wednesday, although it's still fairly breezy. I know it's quite windy there today and again tomorrow. Chance of a shower in the southern and central mountain ranges early in the morning. That will clear up, but we could also see a shower in the northern ranges later on in the picture. Temperatures a little warmer than average along the coast, giving us 24 degrees in Sydney, but quite a bit cooler up in the mountains and the west. 17 Canberra and high teens out in Broken Hill.

It's not the most inspiring morning weather wise across Victoria. It's quite breezy, it's a little chilly, it's a bit cloudy. There could be a few light showers around through the morning hours, but rest assured we will see improvement through the day. The rain should all clear up by about 1 or 2 o'clock. Then the skies should open up, let the sunshine through, the wind calms down and it really turns into quite a pleasant afternoon and evening. Although temperatures are a little bit modest.

Strong wintry winds blow right across Tasmania all day on Wednesday, coming in from the west and in the morning. That could bring not just wet weather, but also some snow to the mountains and some hail to the south and west of the state. We will see the wet weather become confined just to the very far south-western corner, drying up everywhere else, and we'll see some pleasant weather moving in after lunch. The sun should come out across Hobart, but the high temperature stays at 13 degrees. Same thing up here in the north, the sun does come out for the second half of the day, but it remains a bit windy and a bit chilly.

Fine and calm weather sits in across South Australia for Wednesday. The morning could bring a bit of cloud and maybe the lightest of light showers across the southern districts. Then it will be dry and mostly sunny. Temperature wise here, with near average a little below average in some spots. 17 degrees Adelaide, 19 Murray Bridge, 15 down here in Mount Gambier and of course a little bit warmer as you go further north through Port Augusta and up into the pastoral districts.

A bit of a rainy day for the south-west of the country. There is a cold front reaching Perth during the morning, and then we'll see some rain through the morning into the early afternoon, but it will clear up before the end of the day. You imagine a line that goes from about Esperance right up here to Geraldton. Anyone north of that line is not really seeing any of the rainfall. It's all going to be in that south-western corner and other spots like Kalgoorlie-Boulder, Eucla and right across the Tropical North will just have a sunny day.

That's the forecast up here. It's going to be a clear, bright day in almost all areas. And if you cast your eyes across the north, you'll see those maximum temperatures are in the 30s for all of these urban areas. A little bit of cloud around the west and north of the Top End could bring a 1 or 2 sparsely dotted showers around those regions, but most people will have a completely dry day.

Now, if you'd like any more detail on the next few days, a weather forecast, find that on the Bureau's website or social media. Thanks for watching. Have a nice afternoon.
